Daydream No 3 (Beside the Beck), by Stephen Gamble

Writer's picture: Rev Stephen GambleRev Stephen Gamble

A beck is a stream, the word is commonly used across northern England and is of Norse origin. I find out of the way becks are a good place to be forgetful of cares and just daydream awhile. This piece contains the seldom seen instruction ‘Penseroso’, meaning – ‘thoughtfully, meditatively or pensively’. Created using computer generated violin. Pictured - Costa Beck, Pickering Music from 'Music for Solo Violin Volume II, North Yorkshire and a Scottish Excursion'
