Kasper David Friedrich was Right.

Writer's picture: Rev Stephen GambleRev Stephen Gamble

I was walking by the Tees today. We used to often walk by the Tees when I was studying for Ministry at Durham. That would be about ten years ago.

It reminded me of a few things that I learnt back then.

That time is like a river.

That a river is never the same twice.

That I have learnt far more about God from landscape than from lectures.

That some truths are better felt than said.

Time, like an ever rolling stream, Bears all its sons away; They fly, forgotten, as a dream Dies at the opening day.
