Sonata for Solo Violin No, in G - 'Sonata quasi una Fantasia', by Stephen Gamble.

Composed in 1998

The music is tonal, and influenced by folk music, minimalism, and the baroque sonata. The music follows a baroque slow-fast-slow-fast pattern.

Prelude (adagio) - Toccata (moderato) - Larghetto (the dandelion clock) - Jig ( Allegro assai)

The middle movement is called the 'Dandelion Clock', as once when I was playing it my wife said that's what the music made her think of.

An electronic realisation, but the score can be found at Sheet Music Direct, and at ArrangeMe.
