Music for Solo Violin II

Following the success of my first volume of Music for Solo Violin, sales of which have almost reached double figures, I decided to compile a second volume. The principle of this volume is the same as that of the first, this is music written for the enjoyment of the solo violin player. These pieces have been created for the violin player practising at home and wishing for something more interesting to play than just scales. Thus each piece is musically complete without an accompaniment. The music is contemporary in that it has been written in recent times, but will only alarm the neighbours if played really badly. This particular selection of pieces is connected by the inspiration of places found in North Yorkshire and Scotland, mostly when I have been out walking with my wife, Jacqui, and our two terriers, Hector and Wilfrid, and not forgetting Bartok who proceeded them. Electronic realisations of the pieces may be found on YouTube if you want to know how they go.For you or the violinist in your life.
