This music has been written for the enjoyment of the solo violin player.These simple, melodic pieces have been created for the violin player practising at home and wishing for something more interesting to play than just scales. Thus each piece is musically complete without an accompaniment. The style of the music is influenced by the great tradition of baroque music for violin, and also by folk fiddling, particularly the folk music of the British Isles.
